arbol keitt

Origin: Florida (USA)

Tree: Medium size and little vigorous, with arching branches and very unequal, so it requires severe pruning during the first three years, broad leaves and brittle texture. It is highly productive. It tolerates wind quite good but it is sensitive to bacteria.

Planting layout: 2 x 3 m. in a greenhouse and 3 x 3 m. outdoors.

Flowering: From May to June. It is necessary to cut the first bloom, because if not fruits would be very thick and unequal.

Production: At third year in greenhouse and at fourth outdoors.

Fruit: It is oval shaped, thick, without fibre and green-pink coloured. Its flesh is excellent with sweet, juicy and aromatic flavour. Its seed is the 8% of total fruit.

Average weight with flower pruning: From 300 to 600 g.

Fruit ripening: From 10th October to 15th November in greenhouse and from 20th October to 30th November outdoors.

Estimated production per hectare: 35/40 Tons
