It is a Hass variety which we find in 2000, and that we have had in study period for all these years. We have seen that it gives very good yields and good fruit size, on rootstocks Water Hole and Duke-7.

 

  • Race: Guatemalan.
  • Tree: it is moderately vigorous and very similar to Hass. It is a compact tree noted for its earliness due to it starts producing within two years.
  • Flowering: it belongs to group A. It starts flowering at he same time than Hass (from March 20th to the end of April).
  • Planting Layout: 6 x 6 m. interim to stay for 15/17 years and definitely 8,60 x 8,60 m.
  • Fruit: it is pear and large shaped, with wrinkled and green coloured skin. It turns purple when it ripens.
  • Flesh: it is creamy texture and green-yellow coloured with an excellent flavour.
  • Fruit weight: 230 – 380 gr.
  • Size of the fruit: the 80% is from 10 to 20 and the 20% is from 22 to 30 (on Water-hole rootstock).
  • Fruit ripening: it is from early December to mid-June.
